Behaviour Therapist

We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our multi-disciplinary team as a Behaviour Therapist. As a part of this team, you should have a willingness to learn and work in a collaborative and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ABA/IBI therapy to children with unique learning needs, behavioural challenges, and/or developmental delays.
  • Provide therapy and support in both one to one and small group settings.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant education [i.e. Autism & Behaviour Sciences, Bachelor of Education, Psychology, Child and Youth Worker, Disability Studies, Social Services, Communicative Disorders Assistant, etc.]
  • Experience working with children with exceptional needs.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Experience with data collection.
  • Previous experience providing intensive behavioural intervention and/or applied behavioural analysis is preferred.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Candidates will be required to present a valid and clear police vulnerable sector check prior to receiving an offer of employment.
  • As required by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, eXL has a mandatory vaccine disclosure policy for all staff.

Lead Behaviour Therapist

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our multi-disciplinary team as a Lead Behaviour Therapist. As a part of this team, you should have a willingness to learn and work in a collaborative and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ABA therapy and clinical programming support to children with unique learning needs, behavioural challenges, and/or developmental delays.
  • Provide therapy and support in both one to one and small group settings.
  • Assist with staff training alongside senior behaviour therapists
  • Liaise with the senior clinical team, as required, in relation to behaviour strategies and interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant education [i.e. Autism & Behaviour Sciences, Bachelor of Education, Psychology, Child and Youth Worker, Disability Studies, Social Services, Communicative Disorders Assistant, etc.]
  • Experience working with children with exceptional needs.
  • 1-2 years experience providing direct ABA therapy in a clinical or home based setting.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Experience with data collection.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Senior Behaviour Therapist

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and hard working individual to join our multi-disciplinary team as a Senior Behaviour Therapist. As a part of this team, you should have a willingness to learn and work in a collaborative and challenging environment.

  • The successful candidate will work as a Senior Behaviour Therapist at our clinic for children and youth with ASD, unique learning needs, behavioural challenges, and/or developmental delays.
  • Provide clinical supervision and develop treatment plans for all assigned clients/students; facilitate and conduct assessments and reviews of assigned clients; prepare and deliver parent training and/or seminars; prepare and deliver staff training and education; and assist with/supervise administrative and managerial tasks as needed (i.e. scheduling).
  • Understand and adhere to all behaviour programming and protocols.
  • Understand and adhere to the ethical guidelines for responsible conduct of the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have completed, or be in the process of completing, requirements to obtain and retain BCBA or BCaBA certification.
  • Educational requirements may include a Master’s Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field [i.e. Autism & Behaviour Sciences, Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood Education (ECE), Psychology, etc.] along with the necessary coursework for BCaBA certification.
  • The successful candidate must have at least 2 years of experience providing direct ABA therapy to clients.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate must remain current in literature and research in the field of applied behaviour analysis, have demonstrated strong organization and planning skills, and be a positive team player.
  • Must be available to work Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Candidates will be required to present a valid and clear police vulnerable sector check prior to receiving an offer of employment.

Volunteers and students with dedication, commitment, and a strong desire to help others learn and grow are welcome to apply. All volunteers and students work on a contractual basis.

If interested in becoming an eXL Volunteer or having a Practicum experience at eXL, please submit the following:
