Speech and Language services help individuals improve their communication skills.

eXL’s Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are registered practitioners in the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).

eXL’s Communicative Disorders Assistants (CDAs) work under the supervision of our SLPs to provide 1:1 and small-group therapy.

Some of the areas most often addressed within Speech-Language Therapy include:

  • Fluency
  • Articulation
  • Phonology
  • Motor-Speech Skills
  • Language Development
  • Conversational Skills

Speech-Language Assessments

Prior to beginning speech therapy, each client receives a comprehensive speech and language assessment administered by an experienced and CASLPO-registered Speech and Language Pathologist. Based on the results of the assessment, an individual therapy program may be developed.

Early Intervention

One in ten children has speech and language difficulties. Without early identification and treatment, these children are at risk for lifelong learning, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Be proactive and consider speech and language stimulation in the early years to reduce these risks.

Parent/Caregiver Consultation and Training

eXL provides parents/caregivers with information, support,  and strategies to help them assist their children in developing their speech, language, and social communication skills.

Insurance Billing

Many private insurance plans will cover the cost of speech-language assessments and therapy. eXL will provide a receipt for services rendered.
